BELATED UNWIELDY 2009 BEST 10 OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD
1. RECORD/ARTIST OF THE YEAR: Gucci Mane THE STATE VS RADRIC DAVIS and all those fucking sick mixtapes.
2. SONG OF THE YEAR: MILEY CYRUS PARTY IN THE USA! Respect the 2009 summer PARTY single vibe, honorable mention: SURF PARTY BY F.L.Y.
3. ROCK LP: HEAVY DAYS by JEFF The Brotherhood. Do you like Rock N Roll?
ROCK SINGLES COLLECTION: HUNX AND HIS PUNX GAY SINGLES
4. UNDERGROUND COOL WEIRDO POP SINGLE: "ELECTRIC FINGERTIPS" by Preaux Breaux Geauxld
LP: NIGHT EYES by EYES sometimes spelled iiEYES. Okay so by my own rules I usually don't include Vicious Pop artists, and both of these artists are slated to do digital releases with VPD in the future. But fuck it, I didn't put these records out and they are some of the best tunes of the year. Respect these dudes, this is where it's at.
5. BEST GENRE/SCENE/COMMUNITY OF ARTISTS EVER: SISSY BOUNCE + BEST (AS YET) UNRELEASED SINGLE (OF THE DECADE): SISSY NOBBY LAY ME DOWN ORIGINAL MIX
6. CASSETTE: The GA'AN tape. They're from Chicago and are like GOBLIN but are their own thing.
7. NEW KELLZ: The Demo Tape, the track with OJ Da Juiceman, Untitled, his response to that guy who said he was played out, everything he does all the time.
8. BAND OF THE YEAR: CAVE. This was their year. Krauty pysch rock ruled the midwest in '09.
9. INSTANT CLASSICS BY OLD HEADS: TIE new Lightning Bolt and the last U.G.K. LP
10. BEST VID: ALCOHOL. Come on. Jakey, Forest, Howard, Jamie and Samuel L. just rolling to a club together no big deal.
